I've just stumbled across the spiritual successor to the Eameses' Hang-It-All Coat Rack.

This Dot Hanger is by South Korean industrial designer ByongKyu Song, a/k/a BKID.

It can be mounted horizontally or vertically. The user selects the position of the components and locks them in place (I assume) with a spring-loaded pin.

Intriguingly, it was inspired not by the Eames design, but by drawing notes on sheet music. "We wanted to allow users to freely adjust the beats of different notes," Song writes. "The key point of this product is to provide fun to the user and a sense of rhythm to the act of hanging clothes."

It's in production by South Korean steel products manufacturer Rareraw, and retails for 275,000 won (USD $190).
