The most elementary understanding of what Carpet does is to design a world that makes people feel good.

This driving principle comes at the cost of common convention and has allowed Carpet to carve a unique space in a market that predicates itself on a rebellious attitude.

This sincerity is achieved through a child-like wonder and curiosity—that seemingly never expires—to create timeless design which connects people, places and things in a way that the standard conventions of language and emotion cannot.

Baltimore, MD is home to Carpet Company—a community facing streetwear and Skateboarding brand—established in 2016 by two brothers Ayman and Osama Abdeldayem.

Each half of Carpet borrows from their shared history in skateboarding, streetwear, and Egyptian heritage. This eclectic background has created a platform for their success that begins with an honest, DIY attitude that serves to uplift their immediate community.

The S-TOOL design emobdies the Carpet ethos in its entirety.

At a higher level, the combination of screw/nail hardware speaks to the DIY nature of the design process; juxtaposed with juicy CMFT the S-TOOL is granted a sense of frivolity for a balanced final design concept.

A great deal of the design process was spent on proportional analysis to give the rather elementary form a justified sense of sophistication.

The S-TOOL packaging tells the story of the marketing roll out. There are 150 S-TOOLS total, 30 different colors, 5 of each color with a plaque screwed into the bottom of the S-TOOL detailing release and edition.
