The Lotik sensor was designed to address a costly but often invisible problem: water leaks in buildings waste enormous amounts of water and can cause major property damage before anyone notices. PENSA partnered with Lotik to create a point-of-use monitoring system that helps building owners track usage, detect leaks early, and encourage conservation across apartments and shared spaces.
Our design process focused on both performance and real-world deployment. Because plumbing conditions vary widely, the sensor needed to be flexible, compact, and easy to install in tight or hidden locations. We engineered the final product for quick, one-handed attachment with no tools required, making installation faster and more practical at scale.
At the same time, we designed the sensor to feel at home in modern kitchens and bathrooms. Its clean white shell communicates simplicity and trust while blending into its surroundings, and the housing is water-, humidity-, and tamper-resistant for long-term durability. The result is a smart, unobtrusive system that helps prevent damage, reduce waste, and lower water costs.
