Wales-based artist Jon Foreman creates "land art," using found materials provided by nature. While he can work with leaves, grass, and sticks…

…it's his work with stone that I found most stunning:

You'll notice the stone pieces are often done coastally. That's because Foreman lets the tide gradually erase his work; "I'm more than happy to watch it disappear," he told the BBC.

In the same interview, the artist reveals that he listens to music for inspiration while creating his pieces. The genre? Death metal. And he's a musician himself: "When he's not working outdoors, he spends his spare time as a member of the death metal band Plague Father."
