This is incredible. Swiss engineer Yanyan Huang has invented a way to automate 3D printers to produce entire batches, repeatedly and without your intervention. "The bottleneck of 3D print businesses isn't printer speed," Huang says. "It's human time."
Once a part finishes printing, you need to physically remove it from the unit, clearing the bed so you can run the next print. Well, not anymore. Huang's FarmLoop system lets you add components (that you 3D print yourself) to your Bambu Lab 3D printer that will automatically cool the part, release the part from the bed, open the printer door and eject the part. The system then starts work on the next print.
Even more incredibly, they offer the basic version of the system at zero cost. (If you don't have time to assemble it yourself, they also offer kits you can pay for.) Here's how it all works:
