The C64 Orthodontic Kit was created to eliminate the final manual bottleneck in orthodontic production. While digital scanning had already transformed diagnosis and planning, wire fabrication still depended on highly trained technicians, making it slow, inconsistent, and hard to scale. PENSA and PENSA Labs set out to bridge that gap by creating a system that brings precision automation into the workflow without removing technician oversight or control.
The solution combines a precision CNC wire-bending machine with orthodontic-specific design software, enabling technicians to move directly from patient scan to finished wire appliance in a compact bench-top system. WireWare Dt was designed to mirror the logic of manual bending, making adoption intuitive while allowing the machine to deliver accurate, repeatable results across materials and wire sizes.
Throughout development, technicians helped shape the system through observation, testing, and iteration. The result is a new production model that reduces onboarding time, increases output, lowers waste, and helps labs grow without depending as heavily on scarce specialized labor—while keeping quality judgment in expert hands.
