As we've seen on this blog, helmets for cyclists, bikers, athletes, deaf athletes, soldiers and even military dogs get lots of design attention.



But helmets for the millions of construction workers out there in hardhat situations? Not so much. So Husqvarna is now stepping up with their SmartGuard helmet.


It's got a built-in flip-up visor and flip-up hearing protection, which we've seen variants of before, but it's also got a robust, removable face- and chin-guard. This is intended to "reduce the severity of injuries from blade contact if a kick-back occurs."
