STECKRETÄR is a homage to the world's best-selling piece of furniture by acknowledging its iconic status as a symbol of functional and mass-market design; by transforming a utilitarian, passive everyday object into an active, personalized workspace, I aim to encourage reflection on the blurring of work and private life, the enduring value of things, and the creative reinterpretation of the everyday.

This piece of furniture is produced in a limited edition of 100 units. This corresponds to the number of Billy bookcases sold in Germany every hour. Made in a German factory from 100% recyclable steel, this innovative furniture add-on sets a new standard for sustainability and individuality in a world of mass production.
